Common questions
Is there a free trial?
Yes — Summit and Expedition include a 14-day free trial. No credit card required. Ridge plans have a 7-day free trial.
Can I start on Ridge and upgrade mid-season?
Yes. Contact us and we'll migrate your data and billing to Summit. Pro-rated from the day of upgrade.
Do I need to be online at altitude?
ApexHQ stores data locally on your device during the climb and syncs when you return to connectivity. You won't lose a single data point even in a no-signal zone.
What wearables does it integrate with?
Garmin devices (Fenix, Forerunner), Apple Watch, WHOOP, and Polar are currently supported. Strava uploads for training baseline data. Full list at /api-docs.
What's the annual billing discount on Expedition?
12% off monthly rate when paid annually. That works out to $4,740/yr vs $5,388/yr.
Does this work for ski mountaineering and backcountry skiing?
Yes. The acclimatization engine is altitude-agnostic — it works for any activity above 8,000ft/2,400m where altitude illness is a risk factor. Backcountry skiers and ski-alpinists are a natural fit for the Summit plan.
